British businessman Campbell Scott held captive in Nairobi before brutal murder

The tragic murder of British national Campbell Scott has raised many questions as investigators work to piece together his final days. New details suggest that Scott was held captive in Nairobi’s Pipeline area before his body was found dumped in Makongo Forest, Makueni County.

Police believe he was trapped in a house with no way out before he was killed. After his death, his body was stuffed into a sack and taken to the forest, where it was abandoned.

Authorities suspect that those involved in the crime fled to Mombasa after disposing of his body. Investigators are now looking into whether Scott’s bank accounts were accessed, raising the possibility that greed played a role in his murder.

Scott’s disappearance was first reported at Parklands Police Station, prompting the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Interpol to launch investigations.

The British national was a senior director at data analytics firm FICO and had arrived in Nairobi on February 16 for a business meeting at JW Marriott Hotel. CCTV footage later captured him leaving the hotel on February 17 in the company of an unidentified man.

That was the last time he was seen alive. Days later, his body was discovered in the wilderness, far from the city. A post-mortem conducted at Makueni County Referral Hospital did not reveal the exact cause of death. The examination found minor soft tissue injuries, but they were not severe enough to be fatal.

This has left investigators with more questions than answers, leading them to conduct toxicology tests to determine how he was killed. The lack of visible severe injuries has made the case even more puzzling, and detectives are now considering different possibilities, including poisoning.

So far, two suspects have been arrested in connection with Scott’s murder. The two men are believed to have transported Scott and his captors to the Pipeline area. Police have also seized the taxi driver’s vehicle as investigations continue.

Detectives are analyzing phone records, reviewing CCTV footage, and questioning hotel staff to piece together Scott’s movements before he disappeared. The brutal murder of Campbell Scott has drawn international attention, with British authorities also keeping a close watch on the case.

The circumstances surrounding his death suggest a well-planned crime, possibly involving people who had studied his movements and knew he was in the country for business.

With the involvement of the DCI and Interpol, there is hope that those behind the killing will be arrested and prosecuted.

For now, investigators remain determined to follow every possible lead until they uncover the full truth behind this shocking crime.
