Aoko Otieno drags Gladys Shollei in bombshell on Steve Ogolla-Cebbie Koks divorce

The recent divorce between lawyer Steve Ogolla and businesswoman Cebbie Koks Nyasego has stirred conversations across social media and beyond.

According to Kenyan blogger Maverick Aoko, known for her outspoken political commentary, the split may have been triggered after Cebbie discovered private photos of Deputy Speaker Gladys Shollei on her husband’s phone.

Aoko suggested that the matter was quietly settled, with Cebbie reportedly offered a role in the office of Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, and signing a non-disclosure agreement.

She described the position with a vague title, “Influencers Director,” implying it was tailored to Cebbie’s situation.

Maverick Aoko, born in 1992 in Kisumu County, has built a reputation for speaking boldly on political and social issues. She frequently calls out public figures, attracting both support and criticism.

Her X profile references Jordan Peterson, highlighting the importance of risking offense for honest expression.

Over the years, Aoko has faced legal challenges, including charges for spreading false information, but she continues to comment on topics ranging from government accountability to personal scandals.

In this instance, she shared a photo of Steve Ogolla and Gladys Shollei together at an event, fueling public speculation.

She also noted that Cebbie, who used to speak openly in media interviews, has remained silent about her divorce, attributing this to the alleged agreement.

Steve Ogolla and Cebbie Koks married in a high-profile traditional ceremony in late 2022, following a period in which Ogolla had been scammed in a fake online relationship.

Their marriage initially appeared strong, with public displays of affection and shared posts on social media.

Rumors of marital problems surfaced in 2023 when Cebbie removed Ogolla’s name from her profiles and deleted photos of them together.

She later explained in interviews that she lives by her own choices and owes no explanations to the public.

By October 2024, Cebbie confirmed the divorce in a Migori court, emphasizing her readiness to move on. Ogolla described the separation as amicable and respected her privacy, and has been seen with a new partner at public events.

Gladys Shollei, a well-known politician from Uasin Gishu County, has also been in the public eye for her personal life, including a previous divorce and later remarriage.

Aoko’s posts link Shollei to Ogolla, suggesting the alleged affair was concealed with the job offer to Cebbie.

She further claimed that Ogolla has since been connected to another woman from the Kalenjin community, hinting at ongoing private arrangements.
