Damning allegations link CS Rebecca Miano to brutal by election murders in Ol Kalou

Councilor Njohi has directly accused CS Rebecca Miano of responsibility in the killing of young men in Ol Kalou and demanded that she produce those involved.

CS Rebecca Miano must answer for the violence linked to her in Ol Kalou. Councilor Kenneth Njuguna Njohi named her clearly.

He told Miano along with Faith Gitau and Kwenya Thuku to produce the people who killed th young men or face the consequences of their bodies being brought to their homes.

“CS Rebbeca Miano, Faith Gitau and Kwenya Thuku, you must produce the people who kiIIed these young men. Otherwise we shall bring their bodies to your homes.” Njohi stated.

This statement cuts straight to the heart of what happened in the area during the tense political period. Njohi spoke from his own experiences and what he saw on the ground in Ol Kalou. Miano comes from Nyandarua and has taken a leading part in the constituency.

She has coordinated campaigns launched projects and appeared at many events to support government candidates.

Her presence has been strong in Ol Kalou with activities around roads markets housing and other developments.

But Njohi points to a darker side during this time. He described armed men disrupting rallies firing gunshots and carrying out abductions and assaults.

These actions targeted people working for certain candidates. Young men lost their lives in the unrest that followed.

Njohi went through the ordeal himself. Armed groups seized him while he moved around Ol Kalou rallying support.

They took him away mistreated him shaved his head and left him in another area. He linked the violence to efforts to control the political outcome in the by-election and primaries.

In his statement Njohi held Miano accountable as one of the key figures in the campaigns. He did not speak in general terms. He named her and demanded answers about the killings.

This is a serious charge against a Cabinet Secretary who represents the government in the region.

Miano has spoken often about her love for Nyandarua and her work to bring projects there. She has joined church services met leaders and pushed for development like electricity water and youth programs.

She has described the county as having special potential and worked with other officials to deliver results.

Yet the violence reported in Ol Kalou raises hard questions about the environment created during these efforts. When young men die amid political activity those in charge cannot step away from the fallout.

Njohi’s demand puts the focus on Miano to act. She must show that the deaths will not be ignored. The timing matters.

Ol Kalou held a by-election after the death of the previous MP. Competition was high.

Miano played a visible role backing specific sides. Njohi and others saw this as part of a bigger push that included intimidation.

Videos from the time show chaos in town with crowds running and vehicles speeding away.

Njohi said the attackers acted like state actors. His experience included being moved out of the area and humiliated. The killings of young men fit into this pattern of pressure.

Njohi did not make loose claims. He spoke after going through it and after seeing the impact on families. Miano holds a high position as Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife.

She previously led in other ministries and came from a strong corporate background at KenGen. People expect leaders at her level to protect citizens not allow violence in their home areas.

Njohi’s words challenge her directly. Produce the killers or take responsibility for what happened under her watch.
