Museveni Alleges Jaramogi’s Clan Presence in Uganda, Hints at Raila’s Origins

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni which speaking during his Kenya’s visit has highlighted the historical migration patterns of the Luo ethnic group, shedding light on their journey from South Sudan through northern Uganda.

Museveni pointed out the presence of the Jaramogi clan, which holds significance as the ancestral lineage of former prime minister Raila Odinga.

” Luos migrated from South Sudan through northern Uganda. If you go to Amuru district you’ll find Jaramogi clan there, where Raila is from – Museveni”, report intimates.

The Luo community’s migration and settlement in various regions speak volumes about their resilience and adaptability throughout history.

Museveni’s acknowledgment of this historical narrative serves as a reminder of the shared heritage and cultural ties that bind nations across borders.

It also presents an opportunity for deeper exploration and understanding of the complex historical dynamics that have shaped the region over centuries.

On the other side, Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s leaders led by former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka and Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua have threatened to lead mass action demonstrations against President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government.

This is in line with the proposed punitive taxes which the government is planning to impose on kenyans.
