Justice for Albert Ojwang after death linked to tweet on DIG Eliud Lagat

Cyprian Is Nyakundi has shared a shocking update on X exposing how far the government is willing to go to silence critics especially those who speak against the police.

A few days ago a group of influencers did a tag exposing rogue police conduct and one of the key names mentioned in that tag was Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat. Instead of responding to the issues raised or defending himself Lagat and the police leadership turned their guns on the young people who spoke up.

They were picked one by one from their homes in what now looks like a coordinated operation by state agents to intimidate and eliminate those who challenge the system.

Albert Ojwang a popular X user was taken from his parents’ home in Migori by DCI officers on Saturday afternoon. He was driven all the way to Nairobi and booked at Central Police Station that same evening.

By Sunday morning he was dead!

The police claim he kept hitting himself against the wall inside the cell and that he died on the way to Mbagathi Hospital from injuries he allegedly inflicted on himself. That explanation is not just insulting it is a cover-up.

There is no logical way a healthy young man suddenly starts smashing his head and body against a concrete wall so severely that he dies within hours.

This is not an accident this is torture and murder.Eliud Lagat cannot pretend not to know what happened. His name was directly mentioned in the tag and it is no coincidence that the people behind the tag started disappearing soon after.

This was not a random arrest it was retaliation and Albert paid with his life. The silence from police leadership tells it all.

No apology no explanation no accountability. Just recycled lies from the OCS at Central Police who now wants Kenyans to believe Albert somehow killed himself inside a locked cell without any help.

The country was promised an end to extrajudicial killings but clearly nothing has changed. What is happening under Lagat’s watch is no different from the brutal police killings that past and current regimes are using to silence young voices.

The only difference now is that they are killing and lying in broad daylight!

The OCS giving fake statements must be removed and tried for obstruction.

Albert did not rob anyone he did not attack police officers he simply tweeted about police impunity and mentioned Eliud Lagat

For that he was taken from his family and ended up dead less than 24 hours later.
