State House bloggers Mutai and Dikembe exposed in sinister plot to burn Uhuru’s house and blame protesters

On June 25, 2025, as thousands of young Kenyans took to the streets to protest against the high cost of living and bad governance, a dangerous plot was being pushed by State House bloggers Abraham Mutai and Dikembe.

Instead of telling the truth about the peaceful protests, they tried to spin a false story. On their X accounts, both Mutai and Dikembe made wild claims that protesters were planning to attack and burn former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s house. But this wasn’t a warning it was part of a setup.

The plan was evil and reckless. These bloggers, who have long defended the government even when it is clearly wrong, wanted to shift public attention from the real issues being raised by the protesters.

By accusing the youth of plotting arson, they hoped to criminalize the demonstrations. But behind that lie was something worse it now seems they wanted the house burned, not by protesters, but by agents sent to make it look like it was done by the crowd.

The goal was to turn public opinion against the movement and give the government a reason to crack down harder.

Their posts were quickly exposed. Many Kenyans saw through the fake claims and demanded proof.

No news outlet confirmed any attack on Uhuru’s home. Reports only showed protesters moving from Uhuru Park to Kenyatta Avenue, with clashes happening near State House. Even those injured and arrested were not near Uhuru’s house.

So where did Dikembe and Mutai get their story? It was a script, likely agreed upon in advance, meant to paint a false picture and frame innocent people.

This is not the first time these two have defended violence and turned truth upside down for political gain. They are known for spinning propaganda to cover up failures of the administration.

But this time, they crossed a dangerous line. Trying to create a fake attack just to blame protesters is not only immoral, it could have led to serious consequences, including loss of life and destruction of property.

Burning someone’s house and blaming the public is a dirty tactic that exposes how far the regime’s defenders are willing to go.

Mutai and Dikembe must be called out fully. Their lies could have led to chaos. Instead of standing with Kenyans who are tired of suffering, they chose to protect power using lies and fear.
