Ruto Continues Blaming Parents Over Abductions With Queer Statement In Bomet

President William Ruto has called for a coordinated effort to support the youth as they face difficult times.

On Sunday, the President spoke at AIC in Koiwa Town, Konoin, Bomet County, saying that parents, religious leaders, and politicians all play a part in ensuring the kids have a meaningful future.

“We do not have the luxury of a blame game or pointing fingers. We should all secure the future of our children, it is our responsibility,” he stated.

He stated that youth should be mentored and guided as they plan their future.

“We should mind about the next generation. We should educate them and provide mentorship and guidance. We should not let them get into traps, drugs and things like femicide,” he added.

Governors Hillary Barchok (Bomet) and Erick Mutai (Kericho) attended the church service, as did MPs Mathias Robi (Kuria West) and John Njuguna Wanjiku (Kiambaa).Others included: Linet Chepkorir (Bomet Woman Rep), Francis Sigei (Sotik), Richard Kilel (Bomet Central), Johanna Ng’eno (Emurua Dikirr), and Eddy Ochieng (Migori Senator) and a host of MCAs.

In his message to the faithful, Ruto emphasized the need of leaders looking out for the youth in order to provide them with a bright future.

“As a government, we will do our part. Parents and religious leaders should also play their part,” he stated.

His words follow a commitment to halt abductions in the country.Speaking in Homa Bay on Friday, Ruto warned the youth to refrain from irresponsible and cruel behavior that could land them in trouble.

The President then shifted the obligation to parents, urging them to protect their children and raise them into responsible citizens.

“I want to ask parents, these children are our blessings from God. Every parent should take care of their children, and as a government, we will do our part,” he said.

“We are going to stop the abductions so that the Kenyan youths can live in peace. But at the same time, they ought to be disciplined and responsible so that we can build our country together.”
