Defiant President William Ruto Stands Firm, Proclaims No Force Can Stop Him As Deputy President Gachagua Calls For Unity In Wake Of Impeachment Crisis

President William Ruto and his embattled Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua took to different platforms on Sunday to address the political unrest surrounding the ongoing impeachment process.

Both leaders delivered speeches that shed light on their perspectives, with Gachagua calling for unity and divine intervention, while Ruto reaffirmed his commitment to the nation’s transformation agenda.

At a church service held at St. Mark’s Teachers Training College in Kigari, Embu County, DP Gachagua spoke to a congregation seeking hope and stability amidst the political turbulence.

In his address, Gachagua encouraged Kenyans to maintain their faith in God during the country’s challenging times.

He emphasized that while humans may make plans, ultimate control rests in divine hands. “Humans can plan many things, but God is in heaven. Keep praying for us,” Gachagua urged, reassuring those present that regardless of the political storms, divine will would prevail.

Gachagua’s message went beyond just spiritual encouragement, as he also called for unity and respect for the democratic will of the people.

He reminded the audience of the electoral support he and President Ruto received from Kenyans, stressing the importance of honoring that mandate.

Gachagua expressed confidence in the judiciary, stating his belief that it would uphold constitutional values as his Senate trial approaches next week.

The trial, stemming from the impeachment process, has placed Gachagua in the national spotlight, but he urged for peace, asking Kenyans to stand united and trust in the rule of law.

While Gachagua focused on the need for unity and faith, President Ruto’s speech at the AIC Milimani Church’s 30th anniversary in Nairobi took a slightly different approach.

Addressing his absence from a scheduled event in Embu, Ruto clarified his decision to attend the church anniversary, noting that he had missed the celebration of the church’s 25th anniversary, and was determined not to miss the milestone 30-year celebration.

“I missed the 25-year celebration. I was not going to miss the 30-year one,” said Ruto, a long-time member of the AIC Milimani congregation.

In his address, President Ruto appealed for prayers and support as he works to implement transformative programs aimed at improving the country.

He acknowledged the challenges of his administration’s goals but emphasized that with dedication and divine guidance, success was possible.

“Implementing some of the transformational changes to change our nation requires prayers, requires commitment,” he stated.

His words reflected a leader determined to move forward, no matter the difficulties faced by his administration.

Ruto reassured Kenyans that he would not be deterred by obstacles, whether political or otherwise, in his pursuit of success.

His focus remains on the long-term progress of the country, and he is resolute in his efforts to ensure that the administration’s transformational agenda is realized.

The contrasting messages from Ruto and Gachagua have sparked different reactions among Kenyans.

While Gachagua remains embroiled in the impeachment process, his appeal to faith and unity seeks to calm tensions.

On the other hand, Ruto’s focus on prayer and transformation reflects his resolve to keep pushing forward with his vision for Kenya, despite the political difficulties that surrounds his deputy.

The coming days will prove critical as Gachagua prepares for his Senate trial.

All eyes will be on the judiciary, with many Kenyans watching closely to see whether the process will further deepen the political rift within the country or serve as a step toward healing and national cohesion.

Both leaders have called for peace, prayer, and unity during this period of uncertainty, hoping that these values will guide the nation through the storm.
