Referring back to the earlier remarks, President William Ruto of Kenya always makes it a point to declare his love for his wife Rachel in public.

The family not only adopted six children but also fostered other children.

People are usually surprised by the President’s unwavering displays of love and affection for his wife, who receives constant kisses, hugs, and handshakes.

Ruto’s ascent to the nation’s most powerful position started in the 1992 multiparty election, when he effectively backed retired President Daniel Arap Moi, the KANU presidential candidate.

According to reports, Ruto’s strong religious beliefs played a role in his decision to enter politics.

It is said that while he was leading the choir at a nearby church, he was introduced to Retired President Moi.

Moi had reportedly attended a church service and became intrigued by Ruto’s character after hearing his heartfelt prayer.

President Ruto converted from a Protestant home to an evangelical one, and pictures of him as a young pastor have been released by the local press.

Mr. Ruto has frequently attributed his political success to his wife’s spiritual intervention, and she has frequently organised prayer meetings.
