William Ruto, a Kenyan politician and businessman, has been president since 2022.
Ruto was born on December 21, 1966, in Kamagut, Uasin Gishu, to Daniel and Sarah Cheruiyot. Kerotet Primary School served as his elementary school, Wareng Secondary School for the Ordinary Levels served as his secondary school, and Kapsabet Boys, Nandi served as his advanced school.
He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Botany and Zoology from the University of Nairobi in 1990.
