Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni Continues To Distance Former President Uhuru From Raila’s Camp With President Ruto In A Final Resolute

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s delegation issued a strong message to President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, warning Azimio members.

This comes after they joined the government and used former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s name to seek validation.

Kalonzo Musyoka, flanked by Jeremiah Kioni, Eugene Wamalwa, and Ferdinard Waititu in Embu on Sunday, clarified that Uhuru has not spoken with politicians who claim the former president encouraged them to join forces with President William Ruto.

“We are not in government. We have decided to be in the opposition. For a functional democracy we need a strong opposition,” Kalonzo revealed.

“We will walk this journey. We are very determined to do the best thing for our country. As we move, Kenyans will be joining in this movement of real change,” he added.

Jubilee’s Secretary General, Jeremiah Kioni, insisted that the former Head of State had a disdain for the ruling UDA party and could not endorse the opposition’s formation of alliances.

“Under Kalonzo Musyoka, we are the opposition, the government in waiting and an alternative to the disaster we have in government today,” The former lawmaker revealed.

“When you talk about my party leader Uhuru Kenyatta, his mind is clear. He had warned people of Mt. Kenya not to join UDA because he saw problems so he cannot, at the same time, tell a person to join the government,” he added.

“Uhuru has not instructed any of us to go and join a government that is unconstitutional.”

Wamalwa, on the other hand, reiterated that the opposition will support the people and Generation Z who want Ruto gone.

“We will not join the Ruto Government and we will stand with the people and remain the people’s loyal opposition,” he affirmed.

Ferdinand Waititu weighed in, noting that he had already left UDA.

“For those of us who were not satisfied, we have already moved from UDA. Kalonzo Musyoka is not only the leader of Azimio but also of those who defected UDA,” he revealed.

As a result, the Wiper leader vowed that the opposition would keep the government in check and invited other parties to join forces.

“We are very responsible leaders who are determined to get rid the culture of lies in politics in Kenya. We have a history, some of us strongly mentored by former president Kibaki,” he noted adding that while he was the vice president, he served his boss with unrivalled loyalty.
