Gladys Wanga is facing growing public scrutiny after serious allegations emerged claiming that food aid meant for vulnerable residents in Muhoroni was diverted to a property linked to her family.
The claims, which have spread widely on social media, have triggered anger and concern among many Kenyans who believe that relief supplies should reach the people they are intended to help without interference.

The reports have raised difficult questions that cannot be ignored.
According to information and receipts circulating online, a consignment of government food supplies that was expected to reach the Deputy County Commissioner’s office in Muhoroni allegedly ended up at the residence of Governor Wanga’s father in an area known as Ka Nyasuna in Ngere Kagoro.

Reports further claim that police officers were dispatched to the location to recover the food.
Such an incident would represent a serious failure in the handling of public resources and would demand a full explanation from everyone involved.

The controversy has become even more troubling because of claims that a community-based organization was used in the process.

The food is said to have been received through the Wangaya West community water and sanitation office. This has led to questions about whether a community institution was used in a manner that was never intended.
Community organizations exist to serve local residents, and any suggestion that they may have been involved in the movement of relief supplies outside official channels is bound to attract public attention.
Questions have also emerged regarding documentation linked to the consignment. Reports allege that an individual identified as Albert signed for the food on behalf of the organization.
However, claims that members of the same organization do not know this person have added another layer of uncertainty to the matter.
