Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi Vows To Support And Vote For President William Ruto In 2027, Calls Him ‘Good Person’

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi has urged the Luo community to be strategic and cautious in selecting political allies for the future of the country.

Speaking in Nyatike, Mbadi emphasized that the community should begin thinking critically about their political future and identify which communities they could forge meaningful political partnerships with.

Mbadi highlighted the importance of political alliances and urged the Luo community to evaluate who their best allies might be.

He pointed to the Rift Valley, noting that residents of this region supported Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in 2007.

According to Mbadi, this historical cooperation shows potential for the Luo and Rift Valley communities to work together again in the future.

The Cabinet Secretary also praised President William Ruto for including the Luo community in his government, noting that this demonstrated the possibility of political alliances with the people of the Rift Valley.

Mbadi described Ruto as a leader who is willing to work with all communities in Kenya, regardless of historical political divides.

Looking ahead to the 2027 elections, Mbadi stated that he would support William Ruto for re-election if ODM leader Raila Odinga is not on the ballot.

He expressed confidence that Ruto’s inclusiveness and willingness to collaborate with different communities could eventually result in the Luo community receiving support for their own presidential ambitions in the future.

In his remarks, Mbadi also touched on the ongoing efforts to ensure that Raila Odinga continues to work closely with President Ruto.

This, he said, was crucial for fostering national unity and for securing a better political future for the Luo people.

Mbadi’s speech underscores the importance of careful political planning and strategic alliances in Kenya’s future, while signaling openness to new political partnerships between communities that have historically been on opposite sides.
