“We Will Go To The AU Commission” Narc Kenya Party Leader Martha Karua On President Ruto’s Human Rights Violations

NARC-Kenyan leader Martha Karua vowed on Thursday to take action against President William Ruto over human rights violations committed against Kenyans during anti-government protests.

Karua, speaking to the press in Nairobi, accused the Head of State of violating the constitution by allowing innocent Kenyans to be brutalized during anti-state protests and disregarding court orders.

According to the former Azimio principal, the mode of governance under Ruto’s regime has not changed, despite the recent appointment of new leaders.

Karua vowed in her speech to continue mobilising Kenyans against President Ruto’s administration until all of the issues raised by anti-government protesters were resolved.

Karua also pledged to report the Head of State to both continental and global human rights organizations, including the African Union Commission on Human Rights and the United Nations Commission on Human Rights.

“Every drop of blood spilt in the quest for justice must be accounted for,” Karua stated.

“In the light of these grave concerns we will submit formal complaints to the AU Commission on Human Rights and the UN Commission on Human Rights and other relevant authorities.

“We will not hesitate to call out these violations on the continental and the international stage, especially in light of the state having reverted to its default status,” she added.

The NARC Kenya leader also criticized the new university education funding model, which Karua described as a betrayal of Kenyan students.

According to Karua, the new funding model was a barrier that prevented Kenyan students from exercising their right to education.

“This model if implemented without meaningful public participation, will be unconstitutional abut also discriminatory,” Karua stated.

“We must now reject this new oppressive university funding model placed on the shoulders of our students and their families.”
