New Twist As UDA Founding Member Joe Khalende Issues Fresh Demands After Malala’s Ouster

UDA founding member Joe Khalende has lauded the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) after it expelled Cleophas Malala from his position as Secretary-General.

In a statement, Khalende pledged support to the newly appointed acting Secretary General, Hassan Omar, as he assumes office.

“He is assured of our total support to help Party Leader President William Ruto articulate his agenda of recalibrating the economy, uniting Kenya, and delivering on his election pledges,” said Khalende, who recently proclaimed himself as the party’s Secretary-General.

Khalende emphasized the need for proper leadership within the party and demanded an immediate and thorough audit of staff and procurement processes conducted during Malala’s tenure.

He called for swift action against party officials involved in the recent violence and anarchy at the party headquarters in Nairobi.

“We demand swift and stern action against all the party officials that participated in orchestrating security breaches at the party, perpetrators of violence, and saboteurs of the agenda of the party,” Khalende asserted.

“The founding members call upon every member of the party to join hands and help the Party Leader unite the country.”

Khalende’s remarks came just hours after UDA’s NEC decided to remove Cleophas Malala following recent unprecedented events within the party.

The expulsion of Malala marks a significant development in the party’s efforts to maintain order and uphold its principles.

The decision to appoint Hassan Omar as the acting Secretary-General is seen as a step towards stabilizing the party and ensuring that its goals and objectives are met.

Omar’s leadership is expected to bring a renewed focus on the party’s core values and support President Ruto’s vision for the country.

The call for an audit and action against those involved in misconduct highlights the party’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

By addressing these issues head-on, UDA aims to restore confidence among its members and the public.

Khalende’s support for Omar and the NEC’s decision underscores the unity and determination of UDA’s founding members to steer the party in the right direction.

The emphasis on proper leadership and adherence to its principles will be crucial in achieving its objectives.

In the coming days, all eyes will be on Hassan Omar as he takes on the role of acting Secretary-General.

His ability to address the challenges facing the party and work towards its goals will be vital in shaping UDA’s future and ensuring its continued success in Kenya’s political landscape.
