2027 CAMPAIGN: President Ruto In A Full-Blown Swing With New Showers Of Promises

On Saturday, President William Ruto received a warm welcome in Likoni, Mombasa County.

The visit to Likoni followed his development tour of Kwale County.

During his speech in Likoni, the Head of State emphasized the critical need for unity to drive the country forward.

President Ruto highlighted that for Kenya to achieve meaningful development, it is essential for all citizens to be involved, regardless of their political affiliations.

“We are uniting as leaders from different political orientations to form a team that will synergize its views and ideas for an inclusive transformation of our country,” Ruto stated.

Accompanying the President were Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and several local officials, including Governor Abdulswamad Nassir.

Ruto pointed out that the inclusion of opposition leaders in the new cabinet signifies a commitment to fostering national unity and cooperation.

This approach, he believes, is crucial in effectively addressing and managing the nation’s challenges.

“…Na ndio sababu juzi nimeweka baraza la mawaziri ya kuwaunganisha wakenya kutoka sehemu zote, kwa sababu waswahili wanasema umoja ni nguvu. Tuungane ndio tukabiliane na changamoto za Kenya, tupange maendeleo pamoja,” Ruto said, underscoring the Swahili proverb that unity is strength.

Earlier this week, President Ruto forwarded the list of cabinet nominees, a move that came shortly after he dissolved his previous cabinet.

This decision was aimed at forming a broad-based government that represents the diverse political landscape of Kenya.

By incorporating leaders from various political backgrounds, Ruto seeks to create a more inclusive and unified approach to governance.

The warm reception in Likoni underscores the President’s message of unity and collaboration.

Ruto’s administration is betting on a collective effort from all political sectors to push the country towards progress and stability.
