President William Ruto Discloses Chopper Fleet Allocated to His Deputy Rigathi Gachagua after Claims of Frustration

President William Ruto has clarified speculations surrounding logistical support for his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, dismissing claims of frustration.

Addressing concerns that Gachagua had been denied access to choppers for official engagements, Ruto affirmed that he had ensured adequate support by making available two police choppers.

This move, Ruto highlighted, aimed to provide seamless transport whenever Gachagua required it.

Contrary to previous assertions, Ruto emphasized that he prioritized equipping his deputy with resources equivalent to those at his disposal during his tenure as deputy president under former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He revealed that Gachagua occasionally utilized the presidential chopper when the designated police helicopters were unavailable.

Responding to queries about potential rifts within the Presidency,

Ruto attributed any perceived differences to ordinary internal dynamics that could be resolved through dialogue.

He underscored the unity of purpose between him and his deputy, asserting that any differences in approach were part of normal governance processes.

In light of recent claims by Gachagua regarding disjointed briefings from the National Intelligence Service (NIS), Ruto affirmed his deputy’s integral role in government affairs.

He highlighted the establishment of cabinet committees chaired by Gachagua as a testament to his involvement in shaping policy and overseeing governmental functions.

As discussions around internal coherence within the government continue, Ruto reiterated his commitment to collaborative leadership, emphasizing transparency and shared responsibility in managing national affairs.
