Interior And Government Co-ordination CS Kithure Kindiki Spills The Beans On What Ruto Will Start Doing in Mt Kenya Region Often, Amidst Rising Political Temperatures

Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Professor Kithure Kindiki, toured Tharaka Nithi County in the Mt Kenya region to preside over the launch of the fourth Medium Term Plan for 2023 to 2027.

The event was marked by the presence of local leaders and government security officers, who welcomed Kindiki with enthusiasm.

Addressing the assembled residents, Professor Kindiki revealed that President William Samoei Ruto would soon be making frequent visits to the Mt Kenya region.

These visits will be aimed at launching various development projects and commissioning ongoing ones, as well as providing a platform for the President to engage directly with the residents.

Kindiki highlighted the numerous challenges President Ruto faced upon assuming office, particularly the significant public debt that had brought Kenya to the brink of bankruptcy.

He reassured the public that with the stabilization of the economy, the Mt Kenya region would soon witness tangible development initiatives.”

The same way you are going to see more of me both on official duties and during weekends when I have a moment to come and have social interaction with my neighbours, you will also see the President more often,” said Kindiki, underscoring the administration’s commitment to staying connected with the local populace.

During the launch, Kindiki emphasized the Kenya Kwanza administration’s dedication to key sectors such as agricultural production, value addition, manufacturing, healthcare, and the digital and creative economy.

These sectors, he noted, are crucial for the overall development and economic growth of the region and the country at large.

Kindiki expressed strong confidence in President Ruto’s vision and the Kenya Kwanza administration’s ability to transform the nation, including the Mt Kenya region, during his tenure. He highlighted the administration’s focus on investing in agriculture, which is a vital sector for the region’s economy, promising improvements in value addition processes that would benefit local farmers and producers.

Furthermore, Kindiki outlined plans for boosting the manufacturing sector to create more jobs and stimulate economic activity.

The healthcare sector will also see significant investments aimed at improving access and quality of medical services for all Kenyans.

In addition, the digital and creative economy will be nurtured to leverage technology and innovation, driving Kenya towards a more modern and diversified economy

.The launch of the Medium Term Plan signifies a strategic roadmap for the country’s development over the next four years.

It is designed to address critical issues and lay a strong foundation for sustainable growth and prosperity.

As President Ruto and his administration embark on this journey, the frequent interactions with residents and the visible implementation of development projects are expected to foster a sense of trust and collaboration between the government and the people.

The event in Tharaka Nithi marked the beginning of what promises to be a period of increased governmental presence and active engagement in the Mt Kenya region, heralding a new era of growth and development under the Kenya Kwanza administration.
