Moses Kuria Blasts Deputy President: Claims of Fake Accounts and Political Feuds Roil Kenyan Leadership

It is not the first time Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has criticized the Deputy President.

In his recent comments, Moses Kuria publicly reprimanded Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for attempting to interfere with the Mt Kenya caucus, dubbed Limuru III.

On Thursday, Kuria accused Deputy President Gachagua of setting him up against President William Ruto.

The CS, in a series of posts on his social media accounts, alleged that Gachagua had mobilized a team to create fake accounts using his name.

According to Kuria, this team then used these fake accounts to attack the Head of State.

CS Kuria also claimed that the Deputy President was not only targeting the president but also some of Ruto’s close allies, including the Majority Leader in the National Assembly,

Kimani Ichung’wah, and Kiharu Member of Parliament, Ndindi Nyoro. Furthermore, Kuria accused Gachagua of orchestrating political conflicts against Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.

“Dear Team Rigathi Gachagua, stop it! You have set up a whole unit to create fake accounts in my name to fight President Ruto, Governor Sakaja, Hon Ichung’wah, Hon Ndindi Nyoro, etc.,” CS Kuria alleged. “Please! I don’t have any problem with you. You are doing more harm than good to your boss,” he added.

Kuria’s accusations have added to the growing tension within the political landscape, highlighting the fractures and infighting that threaten to undermine the unity of the ruling party.

The claims of orchestrated attacks and the use of fake social media accounts reveal a deeper level of political maneuvering that could have significant implications for the administration.

These allegations also bring to light the complexities and challenges within the political dynamics of the Mt Kenya region, a key battleground in Kenyan politics.

The involvement of high-ranking officials in such disputes underscores the intense rivalries and the lengths to which individuals might go to secure their political positions and influence.

The recent statements by CS Moses Kuria against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua reflect a turbulent and contentious political environment. As these accusations unfold, they highlight the intricate power struggles within the ruling party, raising questions about the stability and future direction of the current administration.
