Maverick Aoko has once again stirred online debate after sharing detailed accusations against Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai on X. In her posts, she accuses Alai of turning his political position into an avenue for extortion.
She claims that Alai has evolved from stealing mattresses to now targeting business people for money. Aoko mentioned a businessman identified as Adan, who deals in billboard advertising, as one of the latest victims. According to her, anyone who wants to install a billboard in Kileleshwa must allegedly pay Alai a fee before being allowed to proceed.

She also says that because Alai supports President William Ruto, no one dares to confront him.
To back her allegations, Aoko shared screenshots of WhatsApp messages and M-Pesa transactions that she claims link Alai to the extortion scheme. The messages appear short and direct, including phrases like “Tuma M-Pesa 17.50,” meaning “send 17,500 shillings.” Other exchanges show missed calls, voice call attempts, and messages like “Slightly Busy!! Pls SMS!!” and “Kwanini madharau?” meaning “Why the disrespect?” The screenshots show a consistent pattern of payments over several months, allegedly sent to a phone number registered under Robert Onyango, which Aoko says belongs to Alai.

Among the amounts she listed are 30,000 shillings, 50,000 shillings, and 100,000 shillings, allegedly sent between December 2024 and October 2025. The repeated payments suggest a continuous demand for money, which she describes as a clear case of abuse of office.
Aoko went further to share an audio clip in which Alai is allegedly heard rudely demanding money from a caller. In the clip, a person tries to speak but is abruptly cut off by Alai. She called him a criminal and mocked the residents of Kileleshwa for voting for someone she described as an “illiterate goon.”
She said Kileleshwa is supposed to be a middle-class area but is now being represented by a person with no moral authority. Aoko urged Kenyans to make better choices when voting, warning that such leaders only bring embarrassment and corruption.

The criticism didn’t stop there. Aoko shared another video featuring a man who claims to be Alai’s village mate from Nyanda. The man alleged that Alai was expelled from Onjiko High School for stealing mattresses from fellow students and later completed his studies at Lela Mixed Secondary School. He disputed Alai’s claim of scoring a B minus, saying the highest grade that year was a C plus.

The man further claimed that Alai secured the ODM ticket for MCA through manipulation and blackmail, alleging that he used compromising material to intimidate others into submission.
Aoko said this testimony confirmed what she had long been saying about Alai’s past.
