Influencers expose 07-20-320-935 for tracking locations amid suspected USIU connection

A worrying trend has come up in Kenya that is putting the safety and privacy of influencers at risk.

A strange phone number, 07-20-320-935, has been linked to harassment targeting these public figures.

The number has been calling influencers non-stop, offering them social media jobs and even going as far as sending them their exact physical locations. What is most disturbing is the suspicion that this is tied to the United States International University-Africa (USIU), although the university has not given any statement to deny or confirm the connection.

This entire situation gained attention when an X user, @Clintonio10 alias Goatfather, posted about their experience.

In the post, the user shared screenshots of a WhatsApp conversation with the number 07-20-320-935. The number had sent a strange message, “Great Wall Mail,” and kept calling the user without explaining what exactly they wanted.

When the user told the caller they were not in Nairobi and had no interest in the so-called job, the caller texted back with the user’s exact location.

This sparked fear and raised the question of how this number knew where they were.

Still, the focus on influencers and the mention of USIU have made people wonder if something deeper is going on. Influencers, by the nature of their work, are usually active on social media and tend to reveal their lifestyles, but that doesn’t give anyone the right to violate their privacy.

What makes this worse is the idea that someone might be using advanced tracking technology, possibly tapping into telecom systems or even hacking phones.

There’s a clear failure in security somewhere, and if USIU is connected, either through a student, staff member, or past event, they need to come clean.

No matter who is behind the number 07-20-320-935, the fact that it’s harassing people, pretending to offer work, and tracking their locations is completely unacceptable.

Authorities should act immediately to trace the number and investigate the link to USIU. This is not the first time Kenyans have raised concerns about being followed or monitored, and unless the government treats this seriously, more people will fall victim.

Influencers are now walking in fear, not knowing who is watching them or what the caller’s real intentions are. The silence from USIU only makes things worse. If they have nothing to hide, they should speak up and cooperate with investigations.

With growing digital threats and a weak data protection system, this case is a reminder that Kenya needs stronger laws to protect people’s privacy. The number 07-20-320-935 has crossed the line, and it’s time the public knew who is behind it, what they want, and why USIU’s name keeps coming up in this mess.
