Inside Imran Khosla’s failed plot to silence Polo Kimani using a rogue OCS and armed officers

Polo Kimani has exposed a chilling setup that nearly cost him his life, revealing how powerful individuals like Imran Khosla operate in the shadows to silence those who expose them. His shocking experience, shared on X, shows how a fake business deal was used to lure him into a trap, with the direct involvement was carefully planned.

A man identified on Truecaller as “Daniel Kaliku OCS Kitui” contacted Polo Kimani, pretending to be a fan of his work. He claimed to own a one-acre plot in Karen that needed electric fencing and wanted a quotation.

Kimani, being cautious, insisted on visiting the site for evaluation before giving a final quote. Kaliku agreed to meet on Friday, even sending a surveillance fee to cover fuel.

However, he postponed the visit to Saturday, March 8, when he finally sent a pin location near Frenzy Lounge along Lang’ata Road. Kimani took a cab to the location, but upon arrival, Kaliku was not there. A security guard at the gate was instructed to let him in, leaving him alone inside.

As he looked around, he noticed something unusual there was no wall to install the electric fence on. When Kaliku finally arrived, he claimed they just needed a quotation for now, as the wall was yet to be built.

He then excused himself to make a phone call. Minutes later, a small car, possibly a Toyota Vitz, entered the compound and parked in front of the house. A light-skinned man stepped out, smiling, and called out Kimani’s name.

At first, Kimani thought it was just a follower from X, but then the man said, “Si tumekupata sasa?” That’s when he realized this was a setup. The man standing in front of him was none other than Imran Khosla, a powerful businessman whom Kimani had exposed before.

Kaliku was still grinning, confirming his role in the trap. Within seconds, a police officer armed with an AK-47 emerged from the Vitz. Kimani instinctively reached for his phone to send an emergency alert, but Khosla quickly ordered the officer to seize it.

His iPhone 15 Pro Max and Redmi A1 were taken. The officer then grabbed Kimani’s trousers from behind, holding him firmly. At this point, Kimani knew the plan was to kidnap or possibly eliminate him. The fact that Khosla himself was there meant this was no ordinary intimidation tactic.

He was ordered to get into the car. Deep down, he knew that if he complied, he wouldn’t make it out alive. Just as he was about to step into the vehicle, he saw a narrow chance and took it. He broke free and sprinted toward the gate. The exit was lined with rusted razor wire, but he had no time to think.

Running at full speed, he stepped on a steel frame, jumped onto the razor wire, and threw himself over. This incident proves how dangerous figures like Khosla are willing to go to silence whistleblowers. The involvement of a police officer carrying an AK-47 also raises questions about state complicity in such schemes.

How deep does Khosla’s influence run? How many others has he silenced? This was not just an attempted kidnapping this was an assassination attempt.

Kimani’s quick thinking saved him, but how many others have not been as lucky? This case demands serious scrutiny, and those involved must be exposed and held accountable.
