“My Husband can ONLY Be Removed Through Prayers” Dorcas Gachagua Tells MPs

Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, the wife of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, spoke out on about the pending impeachment motion against her husband, which is set to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday.

Dorcas spoke out against those advancing impeachment proceedings against her husband during an event at Nairobi’s Maximum Miracle Centre.

According to the second lady, many people still don’t believe her husband is the Deputy President, which she believes may be the cause of Gachagua’s political problems.

Dorcas added that Gachagua’s truthfulness could be another reason for his current political situation.

“I have a man that I love. Many of you call him the real G, others call him the truthful man,” Dorcas stated.

“He is the deputy president of the Republic of Kenya where many people have a problem believing that yet he was sworn in. He was prayed for on the altar.”

The pending impeachment is set to be tabled in Parliament on Tuesday, following a signature collection exercise that is reportedly taking place within the August House’s precincts.

She dismissed the process, insisting that Gachagua could only be removed through prayer.

According to her, since Gachagua was prayed for on the altar during his swearing-in, the only way to remove him would be to repeat the prayers.

Dorcas instead requested that the spouse soldier on and not be distracted by any plans to drive him away from the government.

“One who was prayed for on the altar can only be removed by the same altar. Tell them to fear not, the Lord God Almighty, the Lord of vengeance will fight for you,” she added.

This follows the recent political fallout in Kenya’s ruling party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), where Gachagua has been blamed for advancing non-issues that have threatened the relationship between him and his boss, President William Ruto.

The proposers of the impeachment motion accuse Gachagua of promoting ethnic politics at the expense of serving the nation as Deputy President.

They also accused Gachagua of trying to undermine his boss with his Mt Kenya unification calls that he has been making.

The DP maintained that his rally is solely focused on calls to unify the region so that residents can fully benefit from government projects.
