CNN’s Larry Madowo Exposes Irritated European Viewer Seeking Removal Of African Show

Larry Madowo, a journalist, revealed on Saturday that his CNN show is receiving criticism from a foreigner.

Larry took to his X and showed screenshots of emails he’d received from an Austrian viewer who was dissatisfied with the frequency with which his African Voices Change Makers promo aired on CNN.

The foreigner expressed his dissatisfaction with why the promotion of an African show, in his opinion, had to be forced down the throats of an international audience glued to CNN.

“Can you explain to us, what are we to do with your constant ‘Join Me, African Voices Change Makers? We are in Europe, we are civilized people. What do we have to do with your underdeveloped Africa?’,” read part of the email.

The foreigners expressed their displeasure with the promos that were constantly interrupting CNN shows.

“What are we to do with your continuous interrupting the CNN program, with your African Voices Change Makers? Really Annoying,” the statement continued.

Larry responded to the criticism by asking why the foreigner was complaining about an African show in an International media house.

“He’s watching a CNN with international in its name but doesn’t want to see any Africa coverage,” Larry wondered.

Larry Madowo hosts the CNN show African Voices Changemakers, which focuses on Africa’s most dazzling trendsetters who create subcultures in travel, fashion, art, music, technology, and architecture.

The show, which airs weekly on CNN, has previously featured a number of African stars, including Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, Davido, and Wole Soyinka.

Madowo’s show highlights incredible stories and people from all over the continent.

Madowo joined the Network in 2021 and has since covered stories around the world.

He has discussed coronavirus vaccine inequality, reported on flooding in Nigeria, and broadcast from Expo 2020 in Dubai and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Madowo also closely covered the Kenyan elections and the recent Gen Z protests in Kenya just to mention a few.
