New Details Emerge, Exposing How Sportpesa Is Teaming Up With Scammers To Steal From Unsuspecting Customers

The management system at SportPesa, a major betting company, appears to have faltered in controlling fraudulent activities occurring on its platform, where scammers deceive unsuspecting gamblers.

Disturbingly, it has been revealed that these scams are insider jobs, allegedly known and ignored by the company’s officials.

This has raised concerns about a breach of personal data and non-compliance with data protection regulations, which should be a top priority for such a large corporation.

Gamblers have repeatedly called on SportPesa to implement protective measures against these scammers, but their pleas seem to have fallen on deaf ears.

It turns out that the very people pretending to assist gamblers with their issues are part of the fraud, a fact purportedly known to SportPesa.

The scammers use phone numbers nearly identical to SportPesa’s official lines, making it difficult for gamblers to distinguish between legitimate company contacts and fraudsters.

These con artists, reportedly aided by compromised SportPesa IT department employees, have managed to infiltrate the company’s firewall system.

Once inside, they gain access to sensitive personal information such as phone numbers.

Armed with this data, they contact gamblers under the guise of providing sure bets, claiming insider knowledge of match outcomes that are supposedly manipulated by their contacts within SportPesa.

The scammers even go as far as photoshopping SportPesa’s official website to make it appear authentic, convincing victims they are engaging directly with the company.

One gambler, who fell victim to these tactics and lost thousands of shillings, recounted receiving a message from a scammer that said,

“Hi, just an explanation of what happens behind the scenes. I deal with a guy who works with SportPesa. Winning is possible if you deal with him. He will manipulate the system so that the bet goes through, very simple.”

This text highlights the alarming extent of the scheme, wherein scammers claim that they can guarantee wins by manipulating bets through their supposed connections within SportPesa.

In addition to individual fraud, several websites falsely claim to provide fixed matches in collaboration with SportPesa.

For instance, a site known as “Best Fixed Matches” advertises that it offers fixed match information from four continents, with the help of collaborators allegedly linked to SportPesa.

This site promises inside information on matches from Europe, South America, Asia, and Australia, further fueling the fraudulent ecosystem.

Another troubling aspect is the claim that proxy owned fixed match sites are directly linked to SportPesa, indicating that the company may be indirectly involved in these deceitful activities.

Gamblers are lured in with promises of guaranteed wins, only to find themselves defrauded by a system they trusted.

The revelation of these internal scams raises concerns about the integrity of SportPesa’s operations and their commitment to safeguarding their customers’ data and investments.

The ongoing failure to address these fraudulent activities has put the company’s credibility at risk, and gamblers are left vulnerable to further exploitation.

This situation poses the need for SportPesa to take immediate and serious action, including tightening its data security systems, dismissing any compromised employees, and ensuring full compliance with data protection laws.

Without these measures, the trust that millions of gamblers have placed in SportPesa could be irreparably damaged, leaving the door open for further fraud and misconduct.
