Rachel Ruto Suffers Huge Blow After Church Cancelled Her Event After Public Raised Complaints

First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto has suffered a massive setback after Lavington United Church cancelled a fundraising ceremony event that was scheduled for Sunday.

The event was to be graced by the First Lady, to raise funds for the completion of the sanctuary.

According to reports on social media platforms, the Lavington United Church was forced to cancel the event after angry youths threatened to storm the event, in the ongoing political rage against political leaders donating millions of shilling which cannot be accounted for.

The church had invited different leaders as well as Kenyans to come in large numbers to donate funds which will help to complete the sanctuary.

The First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto, has been known to be close to the churches in Kenya and was set to lead other faithful in raising the money.

This comes after politicians were barred from addressing the congregation in different churches across the country over the controversial finance bill that elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans.

Last Sunday, a section of leaders was booed after they supported the finance bill that was later rejected by President William Samoei Ruto.

Kenyans on different social media platforms have been accusing political leaders of corruption and later donating the proceeds of corruption to churches.

They have now asked religious leaders not to accept huge donations that are coming from leaders with questionable integrity.

All attention will now focus on Sunday, where leaders are expected to tour their respective constituencies days after facing hostile reception from their electorates.
